Ruby Cabbell

Founder, Pilates Instructor, Movement Enthusiast

Ruby began her journey with movement as a Rhythmic Gymnast, then a Dancer when she attended LA County High School for the Arts. She found the power of Pilates after a knee injury in high school. Practicing Pilates every day helped her to rehab after surgery and gave her a deeper understanding of how her own body worked. 

Ruby earned her BFA in Ballet Pedagogy at the Hartt School of Dance. She used a daily Pilates regimen that helped her to strengthen and align her body in order to keep up with the physical demands of dancing at a professional level. Ruby is a certified Pilates instructor with Polestar Pilates, and is continually fascinated by the power that Pilates has to help the body heal and flourish.

Ruby saw a need for specific exercise and rehab plans for those trying to better themselves in a certain area. The vast number of online and group work outs out there all missed one crucial element: specificity. She wanted to create a fitness hub where you enjoy work outs that are tailored to a certain activity that enriches your life, ie a certain sports, rehabbing a certain injury or navigating life after giving birth. She created the Pilates Approach to take clients from beginning to advanced exercises that will directly help them cross train for a specific activity.
